The journey begins with a two night pre cruise stay in Mumbai, India’s most electric city with buzzing markets, beautiful beaches, and delicious cuisine, before boarding Silver Dawn for your 17 night cruise. Sail to Goa’s Mormugao, enjoy an overnight in Cochin, followed by two days in Sri Lanka’s Colombo then a visit to Trincomalee, Phuket, Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur await, before you arrive in Singapore where you will enjoy a two night post cruise stay before returning home.
Day 1 – 4
This journey will begin with a two night pre cruise stay in Mumbai at The Oberoi, Mumbai in a Deluxe Room on a bed and breakfast basis. Formally called Bombay and widely known as the City of Dreams, Mumbai is home to a rich culture and magnificent architecture in addition to being regarded as the Bollywood Capital of India. Must see attractions include the iconic Taj Mahal Palace, the UNESCO World Heritage listed Elephanta Island, the famous Gateway of India, and the incredible Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya Museum. On day three guests will transfer to the port where they will board their cruise for a docked overnight stay, offering the perfect opportunity to continue exploring the city before your cruise sets sail at 6pm on day four.
Day 5
The next day is a day at sea onboard the Silver Dawn. While at sea, take some time to recharge before your next port of call. Lounge by the pool, visit the spa, treat your tastebuds at one of the many onboard restaurants or enjoy some entertainment.
Day 6
The first stop is Mormugao, located in Goa on the south west coast of the Arabian Sea. This port town was a former Portuguese colony and is home to beautiful beaches and crumbling fortresses. Marvel at the sea view from the Japanese Garden, as you explore the peninsular that Mormugao inhabits. Relax at one of the pristine beaches which are dotted along the shore, including the palm-tree fringed Bogmalo beach which boasts clear, turquoise water ideal for swimming. Also be sure to visit the array of Catholic churches, which together form a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 7

Day 8 – 9
Next your cruise will dock in Cochin for a docked over night stay. Cochin, also known as Kochi, is a city on India’s Malabar Coast with a blend of Portuguese, Dutch and British influences. Enjoy a backwater cruise and glide down a lacy network of creeks, lagoons, lakes and rivers. With swaying palms and rice paddies, this is the ultimate experience of rural India. Also be sure to visit the Mattancherry Palace, a gift to Kochi’s royal family by the Portuguese in 1555. Learn about the heritage of one of India’s earliest Catholic communities at the Indo-Portuguese Museum, or head to Kerala Folklore Museum, a family run museum which is home to more than 5000 artefacts.
Day 10 – 11
The next stop is Colombo where guests will enjoy another docked stay. Colombo is the capital city and largest city in Sri Lanka and is home to grand colonial buildings which have been transformed into heritage hotels and charming cafes. This city is a melting-pot of cultures with influences evident from those who once colonised Sri Lanka – Portuguese, Dutch and British – to those that traded goods at its ports – Indian, Arab, Chinese and Malay. Wander through the beautiful Viharamahadevi Park, the biggest park in Colombo, or learn all about Sri Lankan history at the National Museum.
Day 12

Day 13
Today your cruise will dock at Trincomalee, a historic harbour city on the eastern coast of Sri Lanka. Full of rich culture and history, this city is surrounded by treasured sites, dating back thousands of years and hold unprecedented cultural value. Spend the day exploring these historic sites including the UNESCO World Heritage listed Golden Temple of Dambulla, an incredible temple dominated by a shining gold Buddha figure. Alternatively, those who want a relaxing day can head to one of the beautiful palm-lined beaches. Also not to be missed is a boat tour where you will cruise among the whales and dolphins playing in the waters.
Day 14 – 15
The next two days are days at sea onboard the Silver Dawn. While at sea, take some time to recharge before your next port of call. Lounge by the pool, visit the spa, treat your tastebuds at one of the many onboard restaurants or enjoy some entertainment.
Day 16
Next your cruise will take you to Thailand to the blissful island of Phuket. This beautiful island is the largest island in Thailand and is a paradise for both beach lovers and culture seekers alike. Relax on one of the pristine beaches or take advantage of the wide variety of watersports, perfect for adrenaline seekers. Alternatively, explore the bustling streets of Phuket Town, marevlling at the charming colourful houses and enjoying some authentic Thai cuisine.
Day 17
The next stop is Langkawi, an archipelago of 99 islands situated off the coast of northwestern Malaysia. Coconut trees, sandy beaches and rice fields are abounding on these beautiful islands. With a unique mangrove eco structure, Langkawi is a nature lovers haven. Journey beyond the coastline and kayak through the lush thick jungle as monkeys watch you from their treetop stations. What’s more, in 1987 Langkawi was declared a duty free haven, attracting a large number of bargain hunting tourists to the island.
Day 18
Today your cruise will dock in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. Marvel at the city’s skyline from the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, the world’s tallest twin structures towering 452 metres over the city. Shop till you drop in one of the city’s malls or try some of the mouthwatering street food. The Batu Caves, located just outside the city, are well worth the visit. One of the country’s most visited attractions, these limestones caves harbour Hindu temples; a truly unique site not to be missed.
Day 19

Day 20 - 23
This incredible cruising journey will end in Singapore with a docked overnight stay. Guests will then disembark the ship and transfer to the Shangri-La Singapore for a two night post cruise stay in a Tower Wing Deluxe Room on bed an breakfast basis. Singapore is a bustling, futuristic country with a true melting pot of cultures. Spend your days exploring all the incredible attractions this city has to offer. Ride a cable car across to the harbor of Sentosa Island, ride the Ferris wheel-like Singapore Flyer and marvel at the sights from above, or stroll through the city’s tranquil botanical gardens, Singapore’s first World Heritage Site. Also be sure to experience a night safari tour where you will see animals as large as Asian elephants and as small as civets.
