Overview

Cala di Volpe, a Luxury Collection Hotel has been beautifully designed to emulate the charm of a local fishing village combined with contemporary comfort, making it a top choice for discerning travellers. The hotel’s colourful towers, terraces, irregular roofs, and porticoes sit in a natural wonderland of rocky coves and seaside scenery. The sun-kissed shores of the ‘Emerald Coast’ entice guests out of the hotel to explore, while its beach, just a few minutes boat ride away, invites relaxation. Fantastic facilities, including one of the largest seawater pools in the Mediterranean, and the serene SHISEIDO Spa ensure the resort caters to both adults and kids, and an array of mouthwatering dining options offer both local flavours and exotic delights.

Climate

The climate in Italy varies across its regions, with the lakes and mountains of the north markedly different to the Mediterranean climate in the south, and inland areas between the two falling somewhere in the middle. Winter temperatures tend to vary the most – freezing temperatures are not unusual further north in December to February, especially at altitude, but in Sicily average temperatures remain in the teens. Summers are hot all over the country with June to September comfortably in the twenties and thirties degrees Celsius and the months either side of that offering mild temperatures perfect for exploring in. Autumn is the rainiest season, followed by the winter and then early spring.
