Overview

Inspired by the soul of the 'River of Kings', Capella Bangkok is a true urban oasis in the heart of Thailand’s capital. Here, every room, suite and villa showcases spectacular Chao Phraya views from huge glass windows and either a balcony or veranda. Fabulous for foodies, it’s home to a French and Italian Riviera-inspired restaurant from three-Michelin-Starred chef Mauro Colagreco, as well as offering authentic Thai cuisine that celebrates cookery traditions handed down through generations. With the city's cultural and culinary riches on their doorstep, the visionary collection of 'Capella Curates' experiences ensures guests get the most from their time in Thailand's capital – whether learning the ancient art of Muay Thai or creating authentic heirloom recipes with a Bangkok local. Once they’ve finished exploring, guests can rejuvenate with a treatment in the Auriga Spa, incorporating a freshly prepared alchemy of Thai ingredients.

Climate

Bangkok is hot all year, and the best time to visit is late November to mid-January, it's still humid, but comfortable. Temperatures rise from March (when the Northern Haze also occurs) until the rainy season starts in late May, and from then until October there are a few showers most days, especially in the afternoon, so an umberalla would be useful.
