The first stop on your twin-centre adventure is Chicago, affectionately known as the “Windy City”. 

Sitting on the shores of Lake Michigan, this cosmopolitan metropolis seamlessly blends historic charm with modern developments, with a raft of exciting attractions including world-class museums, vibrant neighbourhoods and fantastic shopping.

Start by taking in the stretching views from the Willis Tower Skydeck, enjoying a birds-eye view of the city from its glass-floored observation deck. Back at ground level, you might be tempted by the luxury boutiques of the Magnificent Mile or the eateries on Navy Pier with their stunning views of the water. During the warmer months, there’s ample opportunity to enjoy the outdoors too, perhaps strolling along the 18-mile-long lakefront trail around Lake Michigan, discovering the art installations in Millenium Park or simply relaxing on one of the city’s lakeside beaches.

New Orleans

Fly to the Deep South and touch down in New Orleans. Discover a city where a melting pot of cultures imbues a spirit all of its own, with the colourful streets of the French Quarter and lively jazz clubs a vibrant backdrop for parades and celebrations.

Days can be spent wandering past impressive mansions set in lush gardens in the Garden District, browsing the historic French Market and sampling mouthwatering Creole cuisine. A steamboat cruise along the Mississippi River is a must, offering the chance to take in the city sights at a leisurely pace. After dark, the streets come alive – stroll down Bourbon Street and grab a drink in one of its buzzing bars, lively lounges or cosy jazz clubs.
