place DAY 1 - Colombo

Colombo

Upon arrival you will be met by your guide to transfer to your hotel, check-in and relax.

place DAYS 2 - 3 - Sigiriya

Sigiriya

After breakfast, depart for the journey Sigiriya. In the afternoon, take a jeep safari to Minneriya Wildlife Sanctuary to witness herds of Sri Lankan elephants in their natural habitat. Located in the heart of the Cultural Triangle, the Minneriya National Park is one of the finest places to see elephants in the wild in Sri Lanka.

The following dat visit Polonnaruwa - an ancient, ruined city and UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was used as a backdrop to Duran Duran’s music video ‘Save a Prayer’ in 1982. Then climb the Sigiriya rock fortress. Sigiriya, also known as Lion's Rock, is Sri Lanka’s most iconic site. The climb takes approximately an hour and consists of 1200 easy steps, best undertaken in the morning or late afternoon.  

place DAY 4 - Kandy

Kandy

Depart this morning for Kandy, stopping enroute at Dambulla cave temples - the largest and best preserved rock cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The easy climb takes approximately 30 minutes. Knees and shoulders should be covered before accessing the inner chambers barefoot or wearing socks.

In Kandy, take a tour of the town, lake and Temple of the Tooth. Peradeniya botanical gardens is also worth a visit, as is the Dalada Maligawa, a magnificently adorned shrine, with decorative walls, moat, turrets and a golden roof. Check-in to your hotel and relax.

place DAYS 5 - 6 - Hatton

Hatton

Take a two-hour transfer to Hatton, and witness Sri Lanka’s beautiful tea growing regions enroute, make a stop to visit to a working tea factory and estate.

The following day unwind in your beautiful surroundings or explore Hatton at your own pace. Enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea on the grounds basking in the breathtaking vistas.

place DAYS 7 - 8 - Yala

Yala

Depart early to travel to Yala National Park. In the afternoon, take a jeep safari to Yala Wildlife Sanctuary. The second largest national park in Sri Lanka, it covers 979 square km. Your trekker and driver will take you on a two to three hour game drive into the dry, semi-arid park, which has a variety of ecosystems from moist monsoon forests to freshwater and marine wetlands. The park also has one of the highest leopard densities in the world.

After breakfast, take a trip to Sithulpawwa - an ancient temple found in the rocky outcrops of jungle of Yala National Park. Experience a sunrise-climb up these enchanting slopes as you go on a spiritual trail through history. In the afternoon, there is a second chance to visit Yala Wildlife Sanctuary.

Weligama

Leave Yala behind for the beautiful beaches of Weligama. On arrival, check-in to your hotel before relaxing on the sandy beaches of Weligama.

Spend the next two days relaxing on the beach and enjoying the facilities of this stunning property.

place DAYS 12 - 13 - Galle

Galle

Take a short transfer to Galle for a spot of sightseeing. Once a prominent seaport, throughout the centuries, Persians, Arabs, Greeks, Romans, Malays and Indians all made their way to Galle. Today, Galle Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is brimming with luxurious villas and boutique hotels nestled alongside restaurants, antique and fabric shops. Spend the next day relaxing or exploring Galle at your own pace.
