place DAYS 1 - 2 - Arrive Perth

Arrive Perth

On arrival in Perth, you will be transferred to your hotel for a two night stay. The following day is yours to explore this beautiful city, whether enjoying its sandy shores at Cottesloe or Scarborough, experiencing Fremantle’s vibrant cultural scene or visiting historic landmarks such as Kings Park and the Perth Mint.

place DAY 3 - Perth – Margaret River

Perth – Margaret River

Pick up your hire car and start your journey towards Margaret River, widely celebrated for its award-winning wines. As you drive south, you can stop to explore the trendy port city of Fremantle before continuing through Mandurah and Bunbury, passing through the Tuart Forest National Park on your way to the seaside town of Busselton. Upon reaching Margaret River, settle into your hotel for a two night stay.

Margaret River

Today is at your leisure. In an area so well known for its exceptional wines, indulging in tastings at some of its famous wineries is a must-do activity. You can also explore the stunning coastline, perhaps strolling along the beach in nearby Eagle Bay or touring the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. There’s subterranean wonders to discover too, with Mammoth and Lake Cave offering impressive underground sights.   

place DAY 5 - Margaret River – Pemberton

Margaret River – Pemberton

Set off on a scenic drive to Pemberton, winding your way through lush forests and rolling hills. Before you arrive, make a stop in Gloucester National Park. If you have a head for heights, consider climbing the Diamond Tree Lookout standing at over 50 metres tall. The karri tree was once used as a fire lookout tower, but today offers visitors the unique chance to climb wooden pegs to a viewing platform boasting panoramic views over the surrounding landscape. Not for the faint-hearted but a thrilling adventure for those who dare to ascend its heights!  
On arrival in Pemberton, pop into the Karri Visitors Centre or explore its historic tramway. The drive typically takes around two hours, depending on stops along the way. 

place DAY 6 - Pemberton – Albany 

Pemberton – Albany 

Travel through the towns of Northcliffe and Walpole, where the majestic Karri Forest meets the ocean. Pause at the Valley of the Giants to wander among the ancient Tingle trees and marvel at the canopy views from the Tree Top Walk, the world’s largest and highest treetop walkway. Visit Denmark, with its charming cafés and beautiful beaches, before reaching Albany, reputed to be Western Australia’s first settlement and with a wealth of historic buildings to show for it. 
The leisurely journey takes about three to four hours, accommodating scenic stops en route.  

place DAY 7 - Albany

Albany

Today is free for you to explore Albany's rich history and relax along its coast. History buffs will appreciate The National Anzac Centre, a centre dedicated to commemorating Australia's wartime heritage, while beach lovers can head to the white sands of Middleton Beach. Discover the stunning views from Mount Clarence or take a cruise along the coast to spot whales and dolphins. There’s charming shops, art galleries and relaxed cafés too, offering all kinds of local delights.

 

place DAY 8 - Depart Perth

Depart Perth

Today head back to Perth, returning via the Albany Highway, a journey that takes approximately four to five hours. Notice the changing landscapes, from Albany's seaside scenery through the region’s agricultural heartland, with towns like Kojonup and Williams offering you glimpses of rural life.  On arrival in Perth, return your hire car to the airport in time for your flight home or to your next destination.
